MR.PHIL’S COLUM #8 This year has gone very quickly for me and as Christmas and New Year
approach I am beginning to look back at what our school has achieved
Certainly the school has gone through many positive changes this year
making us a better school with more to offer our students.
One of the very noticeable changes is the demographics of our students.
This year we have welcomed Chinese, Russian, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese
and Taiwanese students to Philinter. This has created a very different
atmosphere for the school and given students more opportunity to
speak English in their free time to people from other countries.
It has also made group classes more interesting as students share their ideas
with their classmates. We now offer a more complete Business course for students
with courses ranging from writing a resume to marketing.
Our new theatre has allowed us to hold many presentations there and give our
students the experience of speaking to larger numbers of people in the audience.
We have alsolinked to a number of local universities and held speech enhancement
classes there and welcomed TV companies from both Japan and the Philippines into
We have said goodbye to several members of staff but said hello to others
who are equally determined to make Philinter the best school in Cebu.
Best regards and get well soon,
