In August of this year, I had a dreamy time at the Philinter Academy. Even though it was a short month, my time at Philinter changed my life. I was an ordinary college student who had no goals and even had a dim dream, but I became greedy for English and was able to decide my future direction. My month at Philinter has had a considerable impact on my life.
Since I was already educated in English theory and grammar only in Korea, there was a lack of room for enhancing my speaking and writing skills, but I think I improved a lot by studying in Philinter. Thanks to the lively group classes and passionate and warm teachers, I have no fear of talking with foreigners using the English Language. At first, I had difficulty because all classes were conducted only in English, and I have to use only English in everyday life, even outside the class. Also, the classes were difficult to understand, and it took time to express what I wanted properly. But as time went by, I could understand my classes, and the difficulty of communication decreased significantly.
Currently, I am taking English classes at the university taught by foreign professors in Korea, and after graduation, I plan to use and learn English for a longer time through working holidays. Not only English but also all my efforts toward my future have been influenced by Philinter Academy. The time and memories of meeting friends and teachers from various countries with diverse cultures are experiences that I will never forget. The only thing I regret in Philinter was that I couldn’t stay longer. I am grateful to Philinter Academy for giving me the power to live my life more independently and meaningfully.
