We Go Beyond English

PHILINTER’s differentiation comes from how happy and satisfied our students are.

HOW DOES OUR LEVEL MANAGEMENT WORK?

Philinter Academy ensures objective level management and evaluation compatible with official scores like CEFR, IELTS, and TOEIC.

PHILINTER’S LEVEL CHART

Our level chart is a comprehensive guide that displays different language proficiency levels and their equivalent international language tests, including IELTS, TOEIC, TOEFL, etc. as well as the CEFR exam.

To align Philinter’s levels with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), we use a standardized placement test that assesses the student’s proficiency in five language skills: Reading and Vocabulary, Grammar, Writing, Listening, and Speaking.

This chart serves as a valuable resource for students who wish to evaluate their language skills and determine their readiness for specific exams like IELTS, TOEIC, and Cambridge exams.

By using the chart, students can easily convert their Philinter Level to the equivalent score of these exams or the CEFR level, which can help them track their progress and identify their areas of strength and weakness.

Also, the chart can assist students in selecting the most suitable exam or CEFR level that aligns with their language learning goals. Whether students are looking to improve their language proficiency for academic or professional purposes, the Philinter Level chart is an indispensable tool that can aid them in achieving their language goals.

BENEFITS OF CEFR
  • Standardized assessment: By using CEFR, Philinter Academy can provide a standardized assessment of language proficiency that is recognized and understood by language learners, educators, and employers worldwide.
  • Clear communication of language proficiency levels: CEFR provides a clear and consistent way of communicating language proficiency levels to learners, which can help them understand their strengths and weaknesses and track their progress more effectively.
  • Effective curriculum design: By aligning its curriculum with the different CEFR proficiency levels, Philinter Academy can design more effective and efficient language learning strategies that meet the diverse needs and goals of its learners.
HOW DOES YOUR LEVEL/SCORE INCREASE?

After admission, a Placement Test is conducted to determine a student’s proficiency level according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR). We keep an eye on the student’s attendance and progress in different tests such as weekly, progress, and mock tests. However, the primary focus is on the student’s performance in daily classes. We provide various support options to help students achieve their goals.

CUSTOMIZED PROGRESS TEST

Our school conducts progress tests based on each student’s schedule. Typically, the test takes place on a Friday, four weeks after the student arrives at school. We aim to minimize any disruption to regular classes during the test.

Unlike other ESL schools that conduct tests on specific dates every month, we believe in maintaining our customized testing method, even if it may be challenging.

In addition to the progress test, we also offer weekly tests, the IELTS Mock Test, the TOEIC Mock Test, and the IELTS Official Test which is held on-campus, as our school is a designated center of the British Council.

CONSULTATION & FEEDBACK

We interview students regularly. The academic counseling is scheduled for the first time on the day of admission, then 5-7 days later, and in the 3rd and 6th weeks.

Counseling session includes the student’s adaptation to classes, compatibility with the teacher, textbook suitability, changes in level for each subject, and encouragement to improve level/score.

Suggestions or claims raised during consultation are treated with care, and problems are resolved promptly.

TOR & CERTIFICATE

After completing a course in Philinter Academy related to CEFR (for example IPS and Business Course), students can receive a certificate of completion and a TOR with their CEFR level.

We at Philinter Academy pay close attention to any changes in our students’ class attitude, as well as their level and score. Our main responsibility is to help our students improve their English language skills.

TOR (Transcript of Records) is well designed so that changes in a student’s level/score can be seen at a glance. Viewing is possible at any time.

To receive a certificate of completion at the graduation ceremony, students must have an attendance record of 90% or higher. If you would like to receive a certificate in the name of your university, please speak to our office and we will issue a certificate in your university’s name, provided it has signed an MOU with Philinter Academy.
