COMING TO PHILINTER
The Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA) is divided into Domestic Terminal (T1) and International Terminal (T2). Although these two terminals are very close to each other, the airport runway and arrival/baggage claim locations are different. Therefore, please note that the pickup locations are different.
DOMESTIC(T1) PICK-UP POINT
- If you come to Cebu from Manila/Clark/Baguio, use the Domestic Terminal.
- DOMESTIC TERMINAL has two exits at the arrival hall, but the pickup location is the same, which is between the two exits in front of the escalator. After collecting your luggage, walk out and you will see the PHILINTER staff in front of the elevator.
CLARK TO CEBU
- Arrival at Clark International Airport (CRK): Start your journey by arriving at Clark International Airport. Make sure you have all your necessary travel documents, including your passport and flight tickets.
- Check-In and Security: Proceed to the airline check-in counter if you haven't already checked in online. Afterward, go through security checks.
- Boarding: Follow the flight departure information on the screens to find your departure gate. Ensure you arrive at your gate well before the boarding time.
- Flight to Mactan-Cebu International Airport (CEB): Your flight will take you from Clark International Airport to Mactan-Cebu International Airport. The flight duration is approximately 1 to 1.5 hours.
- Arrival at Cebu: Upon arrival at Mactan-Cebu International Airport, follow the signs for immigration and baggage claim. Complete the necessary immigration procedures.
- Baggage Claim: Retrieve your checked baggage from the carousel.
- Ground Transportation: After clearing customs, use the Domestic Terminal where you will see the PHILINTER staff.
MANILA TO CEBU via AIRASIA
- Arrival at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA): Start by arriving at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) in Manila with your passport and AirAsia flight tickets.
- Check-In and Security: Head to NAIA Terminal 3, where AirAsia operates its flights. Check-in at the AirAsia counter or use self-check-in kiosks if available. After check-in, proceed through security.
- Boarding: Follow the flight departure information to find your departure gate within NAIA Terminal 3. Arrive at the gate well before the boarding time.
- Flight to Mactan-Cebu International Airport (CEB): AirAsia offers direct flights from Manila (NAIA Terminal 3) to Mactan-Cebu International Airport (CEB). The flight duration is typically around 1.5 hours.
- Arrival at Cebu: Upon arrival at Mactan-Cebu International Airport, you will arrive at Terminal 2. Clear immigration, retrieve your checked baggage and pass through customs.
- Ground Transportation: After clearing customs, use the Domestic Terminal where you will see the PHILINTER staff.
MANILA TO CEBU via PHILIPPINE AIRLINES (PAL)
- Arrival at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA): Arrive at NAIA in Manila with your passport and Philippine Airlines flight tickets.
- Check-In and Security: Head to the terminal specified on your ticket, which could be either NAIA Terminal 2 or NAIA Terminal 1, depending on your PAL flight. Check-in at the PAL counter or use self-check-in kiosks if available. Afterward, proceed through security.
- Boarding: Find your departure gate based on flight information displayed on screens and arrive at the gate on time.
- Flight to Mactan-Cebu International Airport (CEB): Philippine Airlines offers direct flights from either NAIA Terminal 2 or NAIA Terminal 1 to Mactan-Cebu International Airport (CEB). The flight duration is typically around 1.5 to 2 hours.
- Arrival at Cebu: Upon arrival at Mactan-Cebu International Airport, you will arrive at Terminal 2. Clear immigration, retrieve your checked baggage and pass through customs.

- Boarding: Find your departure gate based on flight information displayed on screens and ensure you arrive at the gate on time.

INTERNATIONAL(T2) PICK-UP POINT
- INTERNATIONAL TERMINAL has one exit at the arrival hall. After finding your luggage, walk along the crowd and meet the PHILINTER staff at the meeting point
By taxi from Mactan-Cebu International Airport
Taxis are conveniently accessible from both terminals at Mactan-Cebu International Airport. You have the option to choose between yellow taxis, which have a starting rate of 70 PHP, and white taxis, which start at 40 PHP. Yellow taxis exclusively operate to and from the airport, while white taxis serve various destinations in Mactan and Cebu.
The approximate cost for a white taxi ride from Mactan Cebu Airport to Philinter Academy is around 200 – 250 PHP. Yellow taxis are slightly pricier than white taxis, but they offer enhanced comfort and newer vehicles.

The rate at which you can improve your TOEIC score varies depending on your current level of English proficiency. Here’s an estimate of score improvement based on different starting levels:
- If your English level is below 450 in TOEIC, you can anticipate an improvement of approximately 150-200 points per 4 weeks.
- If your English level is below 600 in TOEIC, you can expect to improve your score by 100 to 150 points per 4 weeks.
- For those with a score of 750 points and above, the rate of score improvement may be reduced.
On average, beginners or those with English proficiency below 450 can achieve a TOEIC score of 850 within approximately 12 weeks of dedicated study and practice.
The study period to improve from IELTS 5.5 to IELTS 7.0 typically takes around 24 weeks when taking the IELTS Intensive course.
Here is the breakdown:
- First 12 weeks to improve from 5.5 to 6.5
- Then even another 12 weeks to improve from 6.5 to 7.0.
However, if you opt to choose the IELTS Score Guarantee, the total study duration can be reduced to 16 – 20 weeks.
