PHILINTER TEACHERS’ ASSESSMENT & SKILL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

Philinter recognizes the crucial role of well-equipped teachers in the progress of its students. As such, the school closely monitors and assesses its teachers from their initial training period to their regularization. Philinter employs a comprehensive and thorough evaluation process that considers various criteria, including:


Academic Factors

Training Result​​

Philinter provides a month of intensive ESL training. This training covers both micro-skills, as well as macro-skills. They also are taught how to improve and teach these skills effectively. Their attitude, attendance, test results, and demo teaching are evaluated, and they are given immersion classes that are assessed by the trainer in each skill. Only those who pass this training period are retained and closely monitored through Philinter’s Regular Faculty Evaluation.

Students’ Feedback

To evaluate the teaching performance of its teachers, Philinter regularly collects feedback from students through Student Consultation.

Proficiency Test ​​

Philinter administers a standardized test every quarter to measure their proficiency in the English language. This test can be either IELTS, TOEIC, or Cambridge, and it helps to assess the teachers’ skills and progress over time.

Students’ Progress

This provides valuable data that objectively measures the impact of the teachers on their students’ academic improvement.

Class Observation​

This helps the teachers to improve their teaching methods and ensure that they are meeting the needs of their students.

Work Attitude

  • HR Monitoring – The Human Resources department at Philinter strictly monitors and records the daily attendance and punctuality of its teachers, as well as their compliance with the school’s rules and regulations.
  • Assessment from the Team Leader – The assessment of teachers also includes feedback from their team leaders, who evaluate their camaraderie, involvement in school activities, and ability to work well with other members of the team.

Teachers Qualifications:

o   Graduate of any 4-year course

o   Good pronunciation (Neutral or American Accent)

FAQ

CAN I GET A PROMOTION OR SCHOLARSHIP?

Promotions and scholarships may vary by time and country. You can get more details about this from PHILINTER’s PARTNER AGENTS.

Even if promotions and scholarships are given, the following rules apply:

Promotions do not apply to family courses and camps.

Only 1 promotion is valid upon registration. Two (2) or overlapping applications are not allowed.

PHILINTER only offers promotions or scholarships in rare instances. Therefore, we ask you to refrain from having high expectations.

CAN CHRONICALLY ILL OR DISABLED PEOPLE REGISTER?

Studying at PHILINTER is possible even if you have a heart, lung, or liver disease, or if you are a person with a disability. However, at the time of registration, you must inform us of the severity of the disease, and our approval is required.

It is important to bring your necessary medication for your ailments or illnesses, and it’s advisable to check if they are available for purchase at the local hospitals or pharmacies in Cebu.

WHERE SHOULD I REGISTER?

PHILINTER has PARTNER AGENTS for each country, and registration is only received through them.

PARTNER AGENTS have shown trust to customers for years or decades. Not only will they give you accurate information about PHILINTER, but they will also be responsible for sending your tuition money safely to the school.

WHAT IF I’LL CANCEL BECAUSE OF COVID-19 OR INEVITABLE CIRCUMSTANCES 10 DAYS BEFORE SCHOOL ADMISSION?

PHILINTER regulations are as follows:

“If you suddenly cancel within 14 days before entering the school, you will be charged a $ 200 cancellation fee.”

However, if you cancel due to unavoidable circumstances, you may not be subject to the above regulation. However, you must submit evidence or proof for your cancellation.

WHAT IS THE REFUND RULE?

PHILINTER Refund Rules are not much different from other ESL language schools in Cebu.

* Cancellation before admission:
Full refund except for the admission fee. However, if you suddenly cancel within 14 days before entering the school, you will be charged a $ 200 cancellation fee.

* Cancel after admission:
If you have completed less than 50% of your studies, you will get a 50% refund for the remaining period. However, there is no refund if it exceeds half of the entire study period, or if the period is four weeks or less.

* If you are expelled due to a violation of the school rules, there is no refund for the remaining period.
If you have to stop studying due to your family’s death or illness, you can be subject to other regulations. Please refer to the orientation file for details.
