Short-Term Study Abroad Programs (1-2 Weeks)
Philinter Academy has a particularly high proportion of short-term international students due to its location near Cebu-Mactan International Airport. We have extensive experience in short-term study abroad and have deep know-how in managing textbooks and organizing classes for students. If you are studying abroad for one or two weeks, it is important to get the most out of your study experience in a short period of time.
These guidelines aim to ensure that short-term study abroad students receive comprehensive and meaningful educational experience during their brief stay.
Kindly refer to the following guidelines:
- Most courses run by Philinter Academy are available for one- or two-week registrations. Therefore, these guidelines apply to most of our courses.
- Students are required to take an online placement test before their arrival. Regular classes start on Monday morning. Additionally, a brief orientation will be conducted on Monday evening to familiarize students with the program, facilities, and important information.
- Philinter managers should check the number of national holidays occurring during the study abroad period and approve the number of regular classes.
- You can choose between dormitory and AZON CONDO, which are external accommodations. Since Azon Condo is not subject to school regulations, it is recommended for those who prefer free personal time after school.
- If there are national holidays during the study abroad period, make-up classes will be arranged as follows
- If there is only one national holiday, make-up classes will be scheduled after dinner over several days.
- If there is a 2-day national holiday, one make-up class will be scheduled on the national holiday itself and another make-up class will be scheduled after dinner on a weekday.
- In the event of national holidays for more than 2 days, admission to make-up classes may be denied depending on school circumstances.
- Make-up classes are conducted on a one-on-one class only.
- Make-up classes are not provided for group classes.
- The teacher assigned to the make-up class must be the same as the regular class teacher.
- If you want to study hard during the year-end and New Year holidays (or Golden Week period), we recommend the ‘1 OR 2 WEEKS PROGRAM FOR NEW YEAR’, which holds classes until Saturday.
- From the 3-week study abroad, a placement test will be conducted on Monday morning, and there will be an orientation in the afternoon. Regular classes begin on Tuesday morning.
