We Go Beyond English

PHILINTER’s differentiation comes from how happy and satisfied our students are.
ARE THERE MANY NATIONAL HOLIDAYS IN THE PHILIPPINES?

Yes, that’s right. There are a lot of national holidays in the Philippines. There is a weekday holiday of up to 25 days a year.

Since the holidays are 3-4 days during Easter in April and the year-end to New Year, it is a good idea to check the makeup schedule of classes before registering.

Especially, if you are considering studying for short-term study within 4 weeks, it is necessary to check the holidays.

PHILINTER is obliged to provide ’19 days of class monthly’. Therefore, we try to guarantee your rights academically.

HOW IS THE TUITION FEE DETERMINED FOR REGISTRATIONS OF LESS THAN 4 WEEKS?

It is common to register for study in the Philippines every 4 weeks.
Registration for less than 4 weeks is possible, but in this case, the tuition fee is higher because it requires more administrative staff.

  • 1-week tuition: 45% of 4-week tuition
  • 2-week tuition: 65% of 4-week tuition
  • 3-week tuition: 85% of 4-week tuition

However, if your total study period is 4 weeks or more, it will be counted as 4 weeks even if the course is different.

For example, if you sign up for 2 weeks of IPS and 3 weeks of INTENSIVE ESL,– IPS 2-week fee: 50% of 4-week tuition
– INTENSIVE ESL 3-week fee: 75% of the 4-week tuition fee.

AFTER ADMISSION FOR 4 TO 8 WEEKS, CAN IT BE EXTENDED LATER?

Even if you consider long-term enrollment, some people consider extending it depending on their satisfaction with their experience studying abroad.

If you extend it, there is a downside that you will not receive any discounts or promotions. However, there is also the advantage of being able to end an unsatisfactory study abroad life early.
In principle, an extension after arrival at school is possible.

However, in the case of a single room, it is not easy to register in the manner described above because it is usually fully booked before 8 weeks. During registration, we hope that you will receive good advice from your agent.

WHAT SHOULD I KEEP IN MIND WHEN STUDYING ABROAD FOR A SHORT TERM?

For short-term study abroad, it is usually important to obtain maximum academic results in a short period of time. You need to make sure that the course you have chosen has a fulfilling curriculum and that you receive the promised number of classes without any cancellations.

  • Check if there are any national holidays during your study period and if there are any make-up schedules.
  • Check if regular classes are held from Monday. In particular, if you are studying for 1 or 2 weeks, it is desirable to start classes on Monday afternoon.
  • See what is going on in group classes. One-to-one lessons cover the course you choose, but sometimes group lessons are taught in ESL regardless of the course you choose (as many ESL schools occasionally do).
  • Ensure that your academic needs are met. Whether you can handle the specific content you want, etc.
  • PHILINTER will strive to provide you with a reliable curriculum and ideals. We will listen to your needs, even if they are not common.

If you have any questions, we will sincerely answer them.

WHAT LEVEL OF ENGLISH DO I NEED TO TAKE IELTS?

At PHILINTER, we conduct an IELTS test before admission for all those who are considering an IELTS course. Through this test, you will be diagnosed whether you can start IELTS right away or whether you need to take ESL classes first for a certain period.

In order to study IELTS, you must be able to understand the IELTS textbook to some extent, and you must be able to understand more than 60% of what the teacher says in class.

PHILINTER sets IELTS 3.0 or equivalent English level as the minimum condition for taking IELTS classes.
If your English level is between 2.5 and 3.0, you shouldn’t start taking IELTS. If you take IELTS with an extremely low level of English, you will not only be under academic stress, but you will never get a satisfactory IELTS score.

Studying for IELTS is like building a house. Don’t forget that only after you have the foundation, you can build something new.If you are a beginner, it is advisable to take IELTS only after studying ESL for at least 8-12 weeks. PHILINTER’s [IELTS test before admission] is free and takes about 20 minutes. Please use this service before registration.
