For short-term study abroad, it is usually important to obtain maximum academic results in a short period of time. You need to make sure that the course you have chosen has a fulfilling curriculum and that you receive the promised number of classes without any cancellations.
- Check if there are any national holidays during your study period and if there are any make-up schedules.
- Check if regular classes are held from Monday. In particular, if you are studying for 1 or 2 weeks, it is desirable to start classes on Monday afternoon.
- See what is going on in group classes. One-to-one lessons cover the course you choose, but sometimes group lessons are taught in ESL regardless of the course you choose (as many ESL schools occasionally do).
- Ensure that your academic needs are met. Whether you can handle the specific content you want, etc.
PHILINTER will strive to provide you with a reliable curriculum and ideals. We will listen to your needs, even if they are not common.
If you have any questions, we will sincerely answer them.
At PHILINTER, we conduct an IELTS test before admission for all those who are considering an IELTS course.
Through this test, you will be diagnosed whether you can start IELTS right away or whether you need to take ESL classes first for a certain period.
In order to study IELTS, you must be able to understand the IELTS textbook to some extent, and you must be able to understand more than 60% of what the teacher says in class.
PHILINTER sets IELTS 3.0 or equivalent English level as the minimum condition for taking IELTS classes.
If your English level is between 2.5 and 3.0, you shouldn’t start taking IELTS. If you take IELTS with an extremely low level of English, you will not only be under academic stress, but you will never get a satisfactory IELTS score.
Studying for IELTS is like building a house. Don’t forget that only after you have the foundation, you can build something new.
If you are a beginner, it is advisable to take IELTS only after studying ESL for at least 8-12 weeks.
PHILINTER’s [IELTS test before admission] is free and takes about 20 minutes. Please use this service before registration.
PHILINTER strictly implements a ‘tuition discount policy’. Anyone wishing to register must follow this policy.
Tuition discount policy varies by country from 0 to 10% of the tuition fee.
Discounts or financial assistance for insurance, air tickets, visa equipment, etc. are not permitted. In some cases, it is allowed, but only possible if it is within the limit of the tuition discount.
The admission fee can’t be waived.
Even after admission, if a violation of the tuition discount policy is discovered, you may be subject to dismissal.
The tuition is therefore the same or very similar regardless of the agent you choose.
If you insist on a discount above the tuition discount limit (or we suspect that this is the case), we may not accept or cancel your registration.
SSP, VISA, ECC fees, etc. are expenses of the Immigration Service. Foreigners entering the Philippines to study English must follow the immigration regulations set by the Philippine government.
To summarize the immigration regulations applicable to students entering ESL schools,
- All foreigners entering the Philippines for study must apply for a Special Study Permit (SSP).
- It is legal for those who have received SSP approval to extend their travel visa.
- When staying in the Philippines for more than 6 months, you must prove ECC before departure.
NOTE.
– SSP, visa extension, etc. are handled by the school office.
– Taiwanese and Chinese nationals must obtain a visa (30-day or 59-day visa) before entering the Philippines.
