Since the Intensive ESL course is a Sparta program, there is a lot of study time need, comprehensive academic management, and students cannot go out Monday-Thursday because they are required to attend Evening Program. It is a somewhat rigorous course and it is highly effective in helping students achieve rapid progress from beginner to intermediate levels within a short timeframe, as it provides an environment where they can solely focus on their studies.
Intensive ESL is ideal for the following individuals:
- Those seeking to develop basic English skills quickly.
- Individuals who want to avoid distractions and solely focus on their studies
- Those preparing for official tests such as IELTS, TOEIC, or CAMBRIDGE exams.
Alternatively, if you want more personal free time after school, we recommend considering courses like General ESL, which are conducted in a semi-Sparta style.
Depending on which area you focus on, the answer will be twofold.
If business is your focus, our ADVANCED BUSINESS course is highly recommended. This comprehensive program covers various aspects of business communication, such as handling meetings, discussions, and presentations. In particular, the course focuses on refining the correct expressions and methods for delivering presentations, helping you gain a remarkable level of confidence in English.
Alternatively, if your primary goal is to improve your daily conversation skills, we highly recommend our IPS (Intensive Power Speaking) course. This program features a curriculum that revolves around pronunciation, vocabulary, and conversation, with dedicated speaking teachers providing guidance and feedback. Through targeted instruction and ample practice opportunities, you can expect to see rapid improvement in your conversational abilities.
BASIC BUSINESS is designed for those who are considered as beginners in Business English.
To enter this course, students must have an English Level of Upper Elementary, a TOEIC score of 345 – 390 or an IELTS score of 3.0 or higher. There is no separate pre-admission test for this course.
On the other hand, for enrollment in the ADVANCED BUSINESS or FOCUS INDUSTRY courses, students need to pass an online pre-admission interview in addition to meeting the English proficiency Level of Pre-Intermediate, TOEIC score of 400 – 485 or an IELTS score of 3.5 – 4.0 or higher.
The rate at which you can improve your TOEIC score varies depending on your current level of English proficiency. Here’s an estimate of score improvement based on different starting levels:
- If your English level is below 450 in TOEIC, you can anticipate an improvement of approximately 150-200 points per 4 weeks.
- If your English level is below 600 in TOEIC, you can expect to improve your score by 100 to 150 points per 4 weeks.
- For those with a score of 750 points and above, the rate of score improvement may be reduced.
On average, beginners or those with English proficiency below 450 can achieve a TOEIC score of 850 within approximately 12 weeks of dedicated study and practice.
Yes, it is possible, as TOEIC and BUSINESS are actually closely related.
For this reason, PHILINTER ACADEMY allows the TOEIC and BUSINESS curriculum to be mutually linked (according to student’s preference).
Those who choose the TOEIC course can choose up to 3 hours of BUSINESS subjects. Conversely, those who choose BUSINESS subjects can also choose TOEIC subjects of up to 3 hours.
