I think absolutely everything about the learning experience here was wonderful. All the teachers are professional, dedicated, responsible, and incredibly friendly. Rather than just instructors, they feel like mentors guiding me on the right path, teaching essential techniques and pointing out crucial details for the exam. Every week, they also cared deeply about my mock exam results, discussing improvements with me. The only downside during my studies was the restroom situation on the second floor. Having only two restrooms is already too few, but they were both out of order since almost all of my classes were on the second floor, queing for the restroom was the only reason I was ever late for class.

The one-on-one classes were very valuable because the teachers always tailored the lessons to my individuals needs and weaknesses. Thanks to this personalized approach, I was able to improve my English skills efficiently. However, I think the small group classes could be improved. I understand that the number of students has increased, but many of the classes I wanted to take were already full, so I often could not change my schedule. Based on students' demand, I think it would be better to offer more speaking and writing classes instead of adding more vocabulary or accent classes, as well as myself, felt the same way.

In terms of IELTS teachers, all teachers are great and always clarify which improvements I should enhance, so I think I could make sure what I should do clearly. Honesty, I feel like sometimes the teaching style may not match you, but teachers are able to change it along with your needs, and you can change the class if you want, which were the positive things for me. Having said that, it was a little bit pity that I couldn't take a popular group class because of the maximum number of students after June onwards since the school curriculum was changed. Overall, the quality of the teachers is great and I didn't expected that my score was improved and I was able to be familiar with english even though it was my first study abroad experience. I'm truly satisfied. Thank you, Philinter !!

I joined the General ESL program because my goal was to improve my English communication skill and become more confident when speaking. During my first week, I found it very challenging because the teachers spoke naturally and my vocabulary was limited. I could understand only a little, and I felt nervous. However, thanks to the 1:1 classes and the patience of my teachers, I gradually improved my listening and speaking skills. Although my pronunciation and grammar are still not perfect, I am no longer afraid to speak English. I am very grateful to all the teachers and staff at Philinter. All of the class were focused on speaking, which really helped me become more confident in using English. At first, I was a bit nervous about speaking up, but I gradually became more comfortable expressing my ideas. My teachers were very supportive and taught me really well. They always encouraged me to speak more and not be afraid of making mistakes. Because of their constant encouragement and guidance, I became much more confident in my spoken English. The biggest challenge was switching to TOEIC course. From speaking classes to do mock tests (practice) every day was exhausting, and I honestly questioned my choice. But the study atmosphere here is good. Everyone complains a little but still studies hard together, which kept me motivated.

WHAT TEXTBOOKS DOES PHILINTER USE?

We maintain a regularly updated list of textbooks for the following courses:

IS IT POSSIBLE TO CHOOSE 2 COURSES?

Absolutely! You have the option to choose multiple courses, including 2 or 3 courses.

However, we recommend consulting with us to determine the recommended order of courses and the ideal duration of study based on your individual needs.

HOW FAST CAN I IMPROVE MY SCORE IF I ENROLL IN THE TOEIC COURSE?

The rate at which you can improve your TOEIC score varies depending on your current level of English proficiency. Here’s an estimate of score improvement based on different starting levels:

  • If your English level is below 450 in TOEIC, you can anticipate an improvement of approximately 150-200 points per 4 weeks.

  • If your English level is below 600 in TOEIC, you can expect to improve your score by 100 to 150 points per 4 weeks.

  • For those with a score of 750 points and above, the rate of score improvement may be reduced.

On average, beginners or those with English proficiency below 450 can achieve a TOEIC score of 850 within approximately 12 weeks of dedicated study and practice.

HOW LONG IS THE STUDY PERIOD FROM IELTS 5.5 TO IELTS 7.0?

The study period to improve from IELTS 5.5 to IELTS 7.0 typically takes around 24 weeks when taking the IELTS Intensive course.
Here is the breakdown:

  • First 12 weeks to improve from 5.5 to 6.5

  • Then even another 12 weeks to improve from 6.5 to 7.0.

However, if you opt to choose the IELTS Score Guarantee, the total study duration can be reduced to 16 – 20 weeks.
